Coorain Devin is Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Mary Washington University. They recieved a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Philosophy from SMFA and Tufts University respectively, and an MFA in Photography from Georgia State University. Raised by a family of quilt makers, they have sewn and made art since childhood. They have participated in residencies at the Wassiac Project, ACRE, Penland School of Craft, and the Burren College of Art. Coorain Devin won a dance competition in 2016 with no training. They were a Red State Fellow at the Alternative Art School, Traveling Fellow at the MFA, Boston, and an Atlanta Capitol Idea Grant recipient.
