In this issue two writers visit Donald Judd's Chinati Foundation in Miles from Anywhere. Also, read an abridgment of David Roediger's contribution to the catalogue for the exhibition "Whiteness, A Wayward Construction", which was on view at the Laguna Art Museum until July 6, 2003. The exhibit brought together contemporary artists who explore the identity politics and cultural study of whiteness in three different sections. Roediger's essay introduces the second section. Finally, L. Kristin Herndon explores the rumors of the death of graffiti in the article Hybrid Vigor.

In this issue's studio visit Gean Moreno accompanies Phil Collins during the production of a recent video in Palm Beach, given the fact that Collins actually lacks a studio and usually works in conditions only known to journalists.
